This 2 563-ha reserve lies in
rugged, hilly country, with the
Ohrigstad Dam as its focal
point. The vegetation comprises
mainly grassland on the open
slopes and indigenous forest in
the kloofs and gorges. A variety
of game species, such as
klipspringer, common duiker and
mountain reedbuck, occur
naturally in the area, and
several other species have been
introduced. The birdlife is
varied. A camping site with
basic ablution facilities.
Picnic sites; boating in small
craft; boardsailing; fishing.
